I am replacing the Breather Assemby on my 5.5 HP Sears lawnmower (Briggs & Stratton motor.) How much TORQUE should I apply on these two screws holding on this breather assembly?
I have no service manual to guide this repair, so I please ask for EXPERIENCE or SERVICE REPAIR SPECIFICS in NUMBERS (value.)

It’s a fairly old (40 years old), and it’s a Gravely. But that doesn’t matter. I’ve tried turning the gas line open and shut, I’ve tried with the throttle in every position, I’ve tried choke and no choke. The gas filter doesn’t have water in it, there’s gas in the tank, the wire is firmly on the sparkplug. What else could there be? It reluctantly started the other day.
