Oscar asked: Sounds weird to me, but I received an e-mail from a friend who is converting a lawnmower motor to run on steam to turn a car alternator for power on his cabin. I am curious if anyone else has heard of this or knows anything about it. If so, do you have any stories to share and any reputable websites that explain the particulars of how to accomplish this without it rusting up?

Cory asked: I have a Black and Decker 24 Volt Rechargeable Lawn Mower. The 24 volt battery (composed of two 12 volt halves) went bad so I took it out and bought a replacement set. Of course they are not exactly the same and now I cannot seem to get it to charge. I have pictures of what a new mower, correctly connected looks like, and pictures of my lawnmower with the replacement batteries. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Justin L asked: I have a new Craftsman push mower. I have to stop every couple minutes to unclog the side chute of clumps of grass. If I don’t, the mower will sputter and stall. I have checked and there is nothing obstructing the chute (I removed the flap that blocks it if you use the bag). I’ve never seen a lawnmower do this. What am I doing wrong?

The Druid asked: 1 Yr old Lawnmower starts, runs but dies under load of cutting grass. Ran fine last week and didn’t hit anything that I know of. Cleaned the fuel tank already and the spark plug but have the above problem still. What’s the deal. Briggs & Strat 550 series.
Did the air filter, cleaned the plug, grass was mowed last week and is dry.
Nothing on crank and it doesn’t bog down it dies!
