A definition of drive-paths in small machines like lawnmowers?

I think it is to do with how the power gets from the engine to the moving parts but not sure

    probly the area that it will cut in a single straight pass with the blades

    If you are talking about lawnmowers then the drive path would start with the crankshaft,( the shaft that sticks out from the motor). This shaft turns the blade on a push mower and can also have pulleys attached to make it self propelled, this is the way riding mowers get their power to run the transmission and blade.

    It all depends on the mower’s cutting action. The two main types are:

    1) Cylinder Reel 2) Rotary
