Are sheep good organic lawnmowers?

lawnmowers

Since diesel tractors are so ridiculously overpriced, I am thinking about getting some sheep to eat the grass instead.

Anyone here know about sheep?

Goats work much better than sheep as a natural lawnmowers.

use cows. Sheep pull up all the roots when they eat and cows only graze from the top.

Typically sheep were only allowed in the fields after a harvest to basically turn the soil becasue they eat everything where as cows just eat from the blades of grass.

For budgetary reasons were may want to look into to llamas. they’re cool

Sheep have been used to good effect against invasive weeds such as Kudzu. However, they tend to eat things right down to the roots. So you might want to go with a goat instead.

Sheep would completely eat your whole yard, they would actually destroy your yard because they even eat the roots of the grass. So unless you want a dirt yard, I would lean away from sheep. Of course you would never have to mow again!
