So unless you want a dirt yard, I would lean away from sheep. Of course you would never have to mow again! Sheep pull up all the roots when they eat and cows only graze from the top. Typically sheep were only allowed in the fields after a harvest to basically turn the soil becasue they eat everything where as cows just eat from the blades of grass.
