i would need to change the pully but im not sure if i need anything else. What would you sugjest? and how would i rig up the clutch to work? Thanks.

Lawnmower tractors have pretty big motors for a go-kart. Having just one would make for a heavy kart, I cant imagine trying to mount two. How about the motor off a push mower? Its less horse power, but its also a lot less weight to push down the track too.
Would be pretty slow as a go cart. Most carts use a solid axle and the clutch is on the motor, but your idea is viable , it just makes for a very slow go kart. Have a look here for a few ideas
It depends on how many horse power the two moters are. for a good go-cart you need about 10 horse power to go about 40 miles per hour. But you probably could use the axle off a lawn mower. I don’t think the axle should be solid though.
