Can someone give some lawnmower help?

omg, i just had a battle with my lawnmower, finally I said f**k it.

Have you tried changing the plug? That is the first and easiest even if it does not look bad. The next thing esspecially if a newer throttle free design is seperate the tank and carb then clean a little and put back together. Also may blow a little air threw the needle valve.

When is the last time you changed the spark plug?
Does it need to be manually choked?
Are you following the manufacturers recommended methods to the letter?
A plug or improper choke is usually the culprit!
Check/change the plug and since this is Spring, did you leave gas in it over the winter?
If so, drain and use new gas.
Once the mowing season is well underway (several starts) and you are mowing regularly, try using less choke the first couple of pulls.
If it is a “bubble” primer, do not push more than once or twice initially.
In good working order, it should start after just a couple of pulls.

sounds like a diaphragm in the carburetor. not a rocket science project, but may seem so if you never took one apart.
ASSUMING you have a 3-4 horsepower, simple lawnmower like a walmart special. and ASSUMING it is a briggs and stratton engine with no throttle control, first, remove all the paraphernalia to allow removal of the gas tank. note all the connectors and springs on the carburetor. draw a diagram if you think you need it. there are 5 or 6 screws on top of the carburetor holding it to the gas tank. after removing these, CAREFULLY separate the tank and carb. the black diaphragm may look fine or be torn, or anything in between. likely it will be warped or floppy looking in one spot where it “works” to pump gas. there may be a “hook” if it is an older model to disconnect from down a hole in the tank.
get model number and serial no., go down to your local small engine shop and get a replacement. reassemble everything as it was and enjoy a few seasons of mowing. BE SURE TO ASSEMBLE THE BIG PIPE GOING TO THE ENGINE PROPERLY. air leak there will drive you buggy.

afterthought: if you can, start it and run it down of gas. in any case BE CAREFUL AROUND GASOLINE. it can be dangerous!! don’t smoke, of course. (this advice comes from someone that starts the bar be cue with gas, which by and large is a BIG no-no!)

put a new plug in it first. if no help take the air filter off and see if its really plugged, if still no different the carb might be plugged up and need cleaned.
