The Druid asked: 1 Yr old Lawnmower starts, runs but dies under load of cutting grass. Ran fine last week and didn’t hit anything that I know of. Cleaned the fuel tank already and the spark plug but have the above problem still. What’s the deal. Briggs & Strat 550 series.
Did the air filter, cleaned the plug, grass was mowed last week and is dry.
Nothing on crank and it doesn’t bog down it dies!

Joe asked: Is there any way to clean the filter since I can’t find a replacement without ordering one for $20 plus s&h.
It’s just a piece of foam, but it’s an odd shape so I’d like to just clean it. It’s not horribly dirty or clogged.

Ben R asked: I recently bought a used lawnmower - the first times I used it last season were fine. This season, if I use it and then kill it to move something - like our porch swing - the lawnmower will not start when I turn it back on. If I wait a day, it will work again. It has new spark plugs, new air filter, fresh gas,.. It is a snapper self-propelled mower from around 2003, if that matters. Any ideas on what could be happening with it?

NANCYJ asked: I’m a single mom here in NH looking to buy a used lawnmower in CRAIGSLIST , what do I need to look for when buying something like that please? Electric, gas or whatever they use to run? I have a very small flat yard and I never own or used one myself before.
What will be in my best advantage I mean?
Merci beaucoup mes amis!

JoeyW asked: In my son’s room we had a 1200W space heater that just died. I can’t afford a new one because they are so damn expensive! I was wondering if I could just wheel my mower in there and start it up to heat up his room while he’s sleeping. I know the noise will make it hard to sleep but he’ll just have to live with that. But will it make enough heat to keep him warm?

BS9999 asked: Curious….By disconnecting the sparkplug wire from the sparkplug is it now safe for me to lean the mower up and start cleaning under the lawnmower or is there other potential dangers of it accidentally starting?
