I’mm working on this lawnmower for a friend, and just wanted to gather a little information before I start. It has the 9hp Kawasaki balanced engine with the cast iron cylinder OHV and electric start. I dont have a manual. The lawnmower doesnt start and has sat for two years. They have replaced the battery numerous times. Also, the starter was recently replaced along with the switch. The problem is definitly electrical/charging related. Heres what I’m going to do. Tell me if you have any other ideas or if you’ve had problems similar. Thank you.

- Change the Oil and Filter
- Siphon out the Gas from the Tank
- Change the Spark Plug
- Replace the Battery
- Clean all Electrical Connections and Safety Switches
- Check the condition of the Belts
- Clean the Carb
- Sea Foam the Engine
- TEST THE STATOR (I believe this is the problem)

my mom poured gas where the oil is supposed to be. Not a lot. But enough probably/. THere is some leaking out towards the front of teh engine .

my Yard Man riding lawnmower 38″ cut discharges a thin strip of grass clippings out the non discharge side as well as the clippings being discharged out the proper side.it is a nice neat strip of clippings.looks like a miniature windrow of cut alfalfa.lol. i cant figure it out,blades are sharpened every 3-4 weeks,deck is cleaned each week,tires are all to correct pressure.any ideas or solutions? this problem just started this season.

Well my lawnmower won’t start I pull it and then at a point it locks and I can’t pull further and so I have to let go. it has enough gas but I was mowing for a bit and then it made a weird squeaky noise and stopped. I checked the oil and saw it was black. can you guys help me im afraid that I burnt out my lawnmowers engine.

I have a Troy Bilt Model 675 Selp Propel lawmower. I accidentally put gas in oil tank. I have drained the oil tank but it still smells like gas in there. I just don’t want to ruin the lawnmower. Is there anything else I need to do other than refilling the oil tank?

The lawnmower will not start back up after running out of gas. The battery has been charged. The enging makes a slight noise when the key is turned, but won’t turnover. The battery light then goes on. Help.

I have a new Craftsman push mower. I have to stop every couple minutes to unclog the side chute of clumps of grass. If I don’t, the mower will sputter and stall. I have checked and there is nothing obstructing the chute (I removed the flap that blocks it if you use the bag). I’ve never seen a lawnmower do this. What am I doing wrong?

I have a Black and Decker 24 Volt Rechargeable Lawn Mower. The 24 volt battery (composed of two 12 volt halves) went bad so I took it out and bought a replacement set. Of course they are not exactly the same and now I cannot seem to get it to charge. I have pictures of what a new mower, correctly connected looks like, and pictures of my lawnmower with the replacement batteries. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
