I got a Craftsman lawnmower powered by a honda motor, its a gas operated push mower, not self propelled.When i begin to mow a lawn it turns off after like 5 minutes, but turns on again without much hesitation. I just changed the oil, and cleaned the air filter with a air compressor. It has gas, and the grass isnt tall enough to make the lawnmower stop. I dont have a manual. How can i fix it? Is it the spark plug or carbureator?

I can not keep the front lawnmower belt on. As soon as it gets on and I drive a strip in my yard it comes off. Help..my lawn is needing mowed. I have bought a new one and it seems to happen with that one too.

ok so where at on the mower is the air filter, carburator and etc (see previous comments)

The wheel turns forward when propelled just not when pushed. And I can pull the mower backwards and it will turn. . .just can’t push it forward.

This happens to me every year. Each year I must buy a new lawnmower and try to get it to last the whole season! This is getting very frustrating!!

Put too much oil in it and ran fine for about an hour. Then the engine started to rev very high and alot of white smoke came out the exhaust. Shut off mower and drained oil out to proper levels and the smoking stopped but even the slightest increase of the throttle adjustment makes the lawnmower rev extremely high. Any suggestions as to what my problem may be? It would be much appreciated, thanks.
UPDATE: Ran the mower even with the air filter off of it, and it still revs way too high.

We had left gas and oil in it over the winter…..have now drained and replaced gas and oil. Added fuel system cleaner also. We someone sprays starter fluid on it it runs while it is being sprayed, but stops pretty soon afterwards (so I don’t think its the spark plug). Somebody suggested to me that it is a fuel line problem and the engine is just not getting the gas. If that is so how can I fix it? Thanks!

My lawnmower starts up then cuts out after 30 seconds. The petrol and oil levels are fine and the choke works ok. The choke does not stay on and cut out the engine. Any other reasons why it would cut out and what can I do about it?
