Mr.Steven asked: I’ve got a frame and an old push style lawn mower I’m about to rebuild. I’ts pretty weak (5.5 hp briggs) but I don’t have much of a budget. The biggest dilema is getting the power to the rear wheels with the vertical shaft. I was thinking chain driven, little differential if they made them, rack and pinion gears, or maybe some kind of front engine with a driveshaft thing. I’ve been thinking about it a lot and I’m stumped, any ideas?
Thanks

MY FRIEND WAS RIDING A LAWNMOWER WHEN HE GOT STOPPED FOR DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE. I DIDN’T THINK YOU HAD TO HAVE A LICENSE TO DRIVE A LAWNMOWER.

This won’t be a one time thing, so I need something that makes sense. I though about hooking up a small trailer to my car, but that may not be reasonable. I have an ‘89 Toyota Corolla. I am looking for any ideas on how to haul it without a trailer possibly. Is there some type of bike rack that would hold it? Any ideas?

Mako asked: I was wondering if there was plans on the internet (or a book) to make a go cart from a lawnmower engine.
A kit would fine too.

I’m not talking about while it’s actually cutting grass. I mean if you seriously drive a riding lawnmower on a paved driveway, what kind of gas mileage does it get?
