I have a 5hp lawnmower engine that I want to turn into a watercannon for cruzin the river with, any suggestions would be greatly appretiated

I think you need a boat to cruise the river with.
Water cannons are for the fire department.
Are you going to be the fire department for your river?
You will need more than 5 horse power to put out fires.

the thing that spins the blade on the lawnmower
you could get that and extend it but put the engine sideways
attach a propeller to the extension thats my only idea
thats if you wanna make a boat

put floats around base and replace blade with a fan type blade, put a water outlet on the side, and throw her in the pool

Find an old Jacuzzi pump and attach that to the engine. The power rating for some Jacuzzi pumps are in the 5HP range.
