~~Girls: How many of you know how to mow the grass with a lawnmower?
Not the kind that you push… the kind that takes gas and you need to turn it on?
Do you even know where the gas goes?
Do you know how to adjust the settings?
If you don’t know, do you want to learn how?
Just wondering - thanks!
Yes, you don’t need to push it…. it kind of rolls forward on its own.

A push mower does take gas.
Are you referring to a riding mower?
The gas goes under the hood and so does the oil.
The blade height gear shift is on the right rear.
The gear shift (forward, reverse, neutral) is left rear.
The lever to lower(enact) blades is right front
The choke and speed are right front.
the brake and accelerator are right foot area.
But all riders are made differently sarah_sunshine_73

I can even put one together right out of a box. You also didn’t mention keeping the breather element clean or changing the spark plug. Faith D

No clue. I grew up using an electric mower, so the only thing I had to worry about was running over the extension cords.
One of my ex-boyfriends in HS had one; he despised it. He was absolutely convinced that it was possessed by an evil spirit that was out to cause him as much grief as possible, and from that moment on, I was eternally grateful for the fact that I had an electric! Brutally Honest

What a condescending question. Of course I know how to use a gas mower. And how to change the oil, and the gas, and the spark plug, and the air filter. And where to spray the starter fluid. And how to clean the blades. And how to adjust the settings.
But I prefer an electric mower. Much easier to start. And you don’t need to keep buying gas. Arggg

My wife loves driving the John Deere riding mover, and yes she knows how to fuel and run a Deere.
She also enjoys driving the Mahindra tractor. She’s gotten the bucket down, but the back-hoe attachment drives her knuts. BTW, no gas in the tractor it’s diesel. Robert S

I’ve been mowing lawns since I was 9 years old. Not so tough to learn if you have someone who will take the time to teach you, or if you don’t mind a bit of trial and error….;) SandwichGeneration
