Im makeing a gokart with a vertical shaft engine but i gota give the shaft more weight so it stopps kickiing back and idling bad.

You have experienced one of the things they do to make things cheaper. They rely on the blades to act as a flywheel. While the engine does have a flywheel, it is probably a very minimal one, made from aluminum and the only reason they put it on was so that there would be a place to put the magnet for the magneto.
One good way to add the necessary “flywheel” would be to find a large diameter pulley that would fit the shaft. Finding something like this will make the job simple. If you were to try to make something yourself, you would need a way to balance it, otherwise the vibration would be horrible. A manufactured pulley would aready be balanced.
