how can i fix my lawnmower?
i was trimming my grass today and accidently cut the wire as it got caught in the blades and i fixed the wire but the lawnmower still isn’t working. the problem is not the wire. it is something else because i am an electrician and have checked the wire.
i have checked the fuse and wire and socket, and plug

http://www.secretfinance.com/offshore/offshore-vanuatu.htmCHRIS R Check the fuse, circuit breaker, etc. Fuse is the first thing I’d go for, then double check the connections you made with the new cable.

http://www.legaldot.net/law/bankruptcy/types-of-personal-bankruptcy.htmThe Tank If you are an electrician then you will know that it is illegal to “fix” a lawnmower wire. They have to be replaced in their entirety. When doing this you will be able to check that it is still properly connected in the mower’s switch box. It’s possibe that the tug when it got wrapped around the blade dislodged an internal connector.
Also, you will have checked the MCB protecting the circuit that feeds the socket outlet which you were using; and checked the mower’s plug itself and the mower’s own protective cut out.
If it’s none of these then you may have damaged the lawn mower’s blade bearing when the wire got trapped. Have a look and see if there is a piece of wire insulation trapped behind the blade. This would prevent the motor turning and cause it to trip-out whenever you power-up. This will possibly mean a strip-down, depending on the design of the machine.
