It depends on whether or not your battery is actually rechargeable. It likely isn’t, therefore, you must replace the battery. If you try to jump-start you lawn-mower battery with your car battery, you’ll be very sorry; and may even make the local news, especially if it’s caught on video.

you can jump it with the car just don’t have the car running,it might give to much of a surge. a battery charger would be better. if it has a battery it’s chargeable and has it’s own charging system when it’s running. make sure your car battery and your mower are both 12 volt.your mower if it’s older could be 6 volt
