im starting to make a go cart and im going to get a go cart frame but want to use my 5.5hp lawnmower engine so i need to know how im gunna make it work. any ideas let me know.

Usally its a clutch at the end of the engine shaft, some use a belt and some have a sprocket at the end to use a chain. A torque converter kit works great so a 5.5 engine. I’ve built a couple of go carts in my day and they’re fun to do, I’ll post some sites to check out parts and stuff. Good luck

Drive the lawnmower! get some nitrogen tanks and purple haze underneath. haha

It is just a matter of using something to convert the the drive wheel ( I don’t if its a belt or chain) to a belt or chain that will drive the wheels.
Simple as that. How is what makes it interesting.
