The thing we have on our push mower is there’s a little red button you push to prime the starter. Also, make sure you have a tank full of clean gas. Gas more than two months old goes bad and then you have bad gas going through your system. You might also want to get a full tune up on it. That would probably help greatly whether it’s push or riding. Good luck cuz that’s too many times to start your mower! Holy frustration, Batman! flowergirl

5 pumps of the primer and one pull. Check your spark plug, it may need to be cleaned or replaced. Good luck. woodtick314

My new briggs and stratton engine will start on one pull every time. My old mowers took 5 to 10 pulls. Carl

I work at a rental yard. it should take 2 to 3 pulls max. if it doesn’t
start. you probably have moisture in tank under the carb should be a bolt about 10mm loosen drain bowl try again no more then 3 times.
if doesn’t start change gas drain bowl again. Jereme C
