When you get it done let me know then you can come and cut the grass in a fraction of the time it takes me to push and shove mine. Andy

Youre not going to have much luck with a vertical shaft mower. You need a horizontal shaft to mount the drive assembly to. You cant mount the engine sideways. jon

If you gear your mini bike right, it may be a bit low on tourqe, but could have a ton of speed! :-) I took a 25cc motor, put i on my bicycle... Put a 24" rear wheel on the front of my 26" bike, used wire ties to hold a milk crate on the handle bars, and had 7 speeds on the front wheel. I got it goint about 45mph... I spent a total of $0.00!!! I got all the stuff from the side of the road, and wire ties from a friend. I guess I used about $1.00 of gas/oil from my weedeater can! I played with this thing for a few hours before going to basic!

(forgot to mention, I welded a gear to the weedeater shaft! lol 7 speed front wheel drive! I used a car jack to spread the front forks to make room for that rear tire! I'm a genius! Samuel

you're not going to get much power because lawnmowers are simple de tuned motors, by the time you get it going fast it would have been cheaper to buy a motorbike motor. Its still a good project though, have a go and have fun, just dont expect heaps of power... Kim

well it depend on the engine .. some have cast iron sleeve for the piston, roller bearing cover. I raced go karts .. we made 17 horse power on alcohol . it would run 76mile and hour.
for a B&S engine they make cams, heads, valves , bore kits , big carbs, headers, high compression pistons .. there is all kind ot performance parts for B&S engines . Tim
