I hit a rock with my lawnmower, now it is loud when it idles. When I engage the blades it runs fine?

its a toro lawn mulcher, recycler. its loud when u start it and just let it sit. if u engage the blade and start doing the lawn its’ fine. it just sounds a little loud er then it should normally be

I am confused with your description of your problem. What do you mean it is loud when it idles? What is loud? What does the noise sound like? A bit more info needed to try and help. Also, what kind of mower is it? Push, rider? renpen
