Is it legal to drive a lawnmower on the road in New York?

lawnmower
BlueAngelGal asked:

Can you use your riding mower to run to the store or to work or whatever? It seems like any motorized vehicle ought to be registered and have a license plate, but I really don’t know. This isn’t mowing the shoulder or anything, mind you — it’s actually driving in the road.

probably not .whats the top speed on those things like 10 mph? youd piss off everyone behind you in their cars and you would get a ticket by the first cop who saw you.

Only if you’re mowing the grass in the center divider.
