Can you spray it with a powerful stream of water to knock the nest off then the wasps will go elsewhere. Or use a long pole to know it off. This is how I remove small nests and I've never been stung. Just stand back as far as you can from the nest and be prepared to run a little ways. Wear some sort of protection and take a newspaper and (just a few sheets rolled up into a tube) and set this on fire, blow it out and let the embers smoke.....let this smoke rise all over the nest for a few, then knock it off and just run away for a minute or two. Put on a hat and a peice of netting over your face, use an old net (sheer) curtain. Wear gloves and gently dislodge it into a box and quickly pop a lid on top. Then leave to one side at the bottom of the garden and in a day or two wearing the same protection go down and open the lid carefully and slighly to allow them out.
