		<description>I'd suggest you run a compression check.  How many hours the engine has been run is much more important than how many years old.  In my experience the life expectancy of a Briggs engine, consumer variety, is about 100 hours.  Price competition forces them to make the engine as cheap as possible.   A typical home owner might mow 20-25 hours per season so that amounts to 4-5 years.  I'm not knocking Briggs.  They make some outstanding commercial engines but what you find in a $200-$300 mass merchandised mower isn't made for more than a few years use.&lt;a href="http://www.djthings.com/replacement-fluids-13348"&gt; Howard L&lt;/a&gt;</description>

remove carb...clean inside and out with carb spray....  upside down too
