Introducing gas where oil should be will eliminate needed lubrication and cause extreme overheating. If it gets hot enough it will cause scoring or warping of parts. The good news is these small engines are tough and it may be fine. Add oil and start her back up. If it runs you're set. You may have damaged your engine if it quit on it’s own.
