Replace the power socket in a lawnmower?
My mower has a male electrical plug in the handle that an extension cord plugs into for power.
Last week my lawnmower, for unknown reason, melted the extension cord that plugins into the handle of the mower.
When my brother who was operating it at the time tried to pull the cord out of the socket it took one of the prongs out with it, pulling out the copper wiring that is attached.
Is it possible to open the handle, and replace the entire male socket or is the whole mower unuseable now?

i wouldn’t replace it something must be shorting out or is defective to make it melt and destroy the plug have it checked by a pro or buy a new one. i wouldn’t mess with it could catch on fire dale
