TexTex454 asked: I got a Craftsman lawnmower powered by a honda motor, its a gas operated push mower, not self propelled. When i begin to mow a lawn it turns off after like 5 minutes, but turns on again without much hesitation. I just changed the oil, and cleaned the air filter with a air compressor. It has gas, and the grass isnt tall enough to make the lawnmower stop. I dont have a manual. How can i fix it? Is it the spark plug or carbureator?

Nick D asked: Put too much oil in it and ran fine for about an hour. Then the engine started to rev very high and alot of white smoke came out the exhaust. Shut off mower and drained oil out to proper levels and the smoking stopped but even the slightest increase of the throttle adjustment makes the lawnmower rev extremely high. Any suggestions as to what my problem may be? It would be much appreciated, thanks.
UPDATE: Ran the mower even with the air filter off of it, and it still revs way too high.

Ben R asked: I recently bought a used lawnmower - the first times I used it last season were fine. This season, if I use it and then kill it to move something - like our porch swing - the lawnmower will not start when I turn it back on. If I wait a day, it will work again. It has new spark plugs, new air filter, fresh gas,.. It is a snapper self-propelled mower from around 2003, if that matters. Any ideas on what could be happening with it?

Travis asked: I have a 3hp Tecumseh motor on my Toro push mower, and when the grass gets long it’s all the thing can do to mow it without overheating or stalling all together.
I’ve tuned it up with proper spark plug and gap, changed the oil, cleaned the air filter and sharpened the blade. Is there anything else I can do???

Your Mom asked: I have been busting my butt trying to get my lawnmower running. It will not start. I can pour fuel down into the carb and it will fire for a few seconds and then die. I have checked the plug, fuel, air filter, the kill lever, carb….
I just noticed that the primer bulb has a pretty good size tear in it. Will this cause my mower not to start? Like maybe, it loses prime or something?
Thanks for the help!

anonymous asked:
It will run a little, then stall. If I wait a bit, it’ll restart. It’s not the plug. Is it overheating? How do I fix it?
It’s electric, no choke, air filter. I use an extension cord to power it.
