What are the chances that gasoline will ignite if it’s sizzling on a hot lawnmower?

I can never seem to pour gas into my lawnmower without spilling a little on the mower. After I’ve been mowing the mower gets really hot, so the gas that spills on it sizzles and boils. Is there a chance it could burst into flame when this happens or would it actually need to come into contact with a flame or a spark to ignite?
