How do I turn a Lawnmower engine and a 10 speed bike into a motor-bike?

How can I clean leaked motor oil mixed with miscellaneous dirt off of my lawnmower engine?

My lawnmower was very leaky, and now that I fixed the probem, I just have to clean th oil off the engine. It is mixed with all kinds of dirt as you can imagine. Using a cloth and toothbrush gets the loose stuff off, but not the tough globs. Can I use dishsoap or some kind of miraculous solution in conjunction with my hand dandy toothbrush to obliterate the oil once and for all?
