every time he would try and start it he would kick the blades,and it would start.Now we get nothing,should we try something else before we trash it?

The last time we used our mower the blades would not disengage. We had to shut it off engaged and now it won’t start. Any ideas what could be wrong with it?

I bought it in August 07. It is a push mower. It worked fine last time I used it. I changed the plug and put fresh gas in it and primed it. Doesn’t act like it wants to start.

My lawnmower is blowing out white smoke from the muffler looking thing and black liquid is leaking out and it is making knocking noise and has loss of power. I put in 5w 30 oil instead of just sae 30 in. It was working fine the last time i used it but now it is just smoking non stop.
The problem was that i over filled it with oil all i did was drain the oil and put only a little back the power is back and it does not smoke alot any more I think it will go away when it burns off all the oil Thank you guys for help
