Ian Pettit asked: What type of oil should I use for a riding lawnmower? The brand of mower is yard master. I think its a 4 cycle engine. All I got is castrol car oil. Will that work? And if you do not have oil in your engine will that not make it start?

Purtee56 asked: I have a 5-6 year old Craftsman LT1000 Riding Lawnmower, and it’s great. About a week ago I mowed my grass without a problem. Today I tried starting it, started up instantly. But as soon as it did start about 1 minute later it acted like it was out of gas, studering and it just keeps doing this. what is the problem. I am pretty good with engines so let me know.

Michael asked: Hi, I have a riding yardman: 17 horsepower, 42 inch deck, Model Number 13AT604G401. When I put the lawnmower into forward and accelerate it doesnt go, but reverse works great. I think it is a transmission problem but I dont know exactly. Anyone have any good ideas? I am going to fix this myself.

Nancy asked: Hi. My riding lawnmower (Cub Cadet) starts up fine and I can drive it around, but if I engage the blades and mow for a bit the blades will stop. Now, the engine is still running at this point BUT if I turn it off it will not start back up. This is because I have blown a fuse. I replaced it several times with the same results. What the heck is going on? It seems that it’s only when the blades are on that the fuse will blow.
