koolkat asked: I have a MasterCut 21. Tipped it on its side to remove blade for sharpening. Left it that way for a few days since I couldn’t remove blade and needed help. Some oil leaked out. Reinstalled blade after sharpening, added oil. Overfilled it by accident. Drained some out through drain plug. Level is perfect now. But lawnmower won’t start. Oil is getting on spark plug when I pull the pull rope. Remove spark plug, clean it up, reinstall, a couple of pulls and the spark plug is already saturated with oil.
How can I get this dang thing started again? My arm is killing me and my lawn is screaming at me. Briggs and Stratton engine, if that makes any difference.

I pull the rope and it sputters just a little. Also, I can smell gas when I pull it. Any ideas?

bigboijay15 asked:
I am repairing a 6.75 hp Craftsman Eager1. I lent it to a buddy who broke the cord, and of course the recoil starter, having no tension when the rope was gone, completely unraveled. Now I do not know how much tension to wind the recoil starter with before replacing the cord. Any suggestions?

WL asked:
I think I may have put too much oil in my Lawnmower. I have a Yardman mower. Is there anything I can do to get it started? I changed the spark plug, new gas. I took spark plug off and pulled rope a few times. Changed filter. Last time when I put spark plug back it gave me a cough but that was about it. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks

Brit asked: The tire came off the rim of a lawnmower. I’m unable to put the tire back on the rim so that it can be re-inflated. How do I put the tire back on so that it fits on the rim so that when I put the air back in it stays in.
Right before I checked on here for possible solutions, I managed to kind of get the ….rim completly inside the tire. Is there a war around this, now it is like I have the opposite problem of what I started with….first I could not get the tire around the rim, and now I cannot get the rim from inside of the tire.
Note: I tired the rope and soap suggestion immediately after I read it, and it appears that that would have worked…if I was trying to do that when I first needed to get the tire around the rim. Unfortunaately however, it appears that that trick is just making the tire engulf the rim even more. Thanks for all of your help in advanced.
