Ben R asked:

I recently bought a used lawnmower - the first times I used it last season were fine. This season, if I use it and then kill it to move something - like our porch swing - the lawnmower will not start when I turn it back on. If I wait a day, it will work again. It has new spark plugs, new air filter, fresh gas,.. It is a snapper self-propelled mower from around 2003, if that matters. Any ideas on what could be happening with it?

What is the purpose of the extendent bolt next to the spark plug on a briggs and straton lawnmower?

Maybe i dont understand how spark plug works but from what i gather, spark plugs are the spark that starts the combustion process in the engine…So when i pull the cord on my lawnmower it essentially creates electricty to start that “FIRST” spark by the spark plug starting the combustion…What i dont get is how the Spark Plug continues to “spark” and keep the engine running after my first cord pull?
