What could I make out of this lawnmower?

lawnmower
Daniel J asked:

I have an old lawnmower. It is supposed to be propelled but it isn’t and once you turn it on the only way to stop it is to put it on choke and then make it stall. Even with these problems could I make something out of it? Such as a go kart? Or would it be unable to turn off and therefore dangerous?

The engine could be used to make a go kart, everything else is pretty much junk

I was going to suggest a go kart too, but you could have it repaired so as you have a safer way to turn it off. My mother’s lawnmower became a nuisance in this way but it was fairly inexpensive to have it serviced and repaired.

I would build a hovercraft. You should probably build a hovercraft. It is very mobile and you can park it anywhere. It is simple to build from plywood and foam. There are plans online such as:

This only requires a 3 to 7 hp engine. Shouldn’t take you too long to build and it’d be much more fun than a go kart.

remove engine, place in small bike frame, replace the choke with a throttle apparatus and you have what we used to call a “mini-bike” in the 70’s..lol
