Usually made of spring steel with a fairly high carbon/nickel content. You might be able to get one custom made out of a slightly thicker steel from a garage that specalizes in replacing suspension springs for cars & light trucks.
I am a hobby knifemaker and also owner of a light truck that needed spring replacement.I was supprised to see the variety of steel thet had on hand. I had springs custom made & they were generous enough to spare me so scraps for my hobby.
Springs were reasonable in price so I'm sure if you look around you'll find something. They also have equipment on hand to shape your new blade as long as you have the old one for a guide.
