Up the road is my friend Carl. Real nice guy, been retired for like 20 years and to keep busy he takes old lawnmowers and rebuilds them.

He sells the reconditioned mowers for $40-$60 per machine. I’ve owned a few of them over the years. Usually I get three to four years of hard use out of them. I’m not nice to lawnmowers.

Just about every town has a guy like Carl. Check out a reconditioned machine, if it’s done right they will last almost as long as a new machine for a fraction of the price.

Try a human powered mower. It just works of of you pushing it forward. Its many blades rotate agents a stationary one that scissors off the grass. Its a work out and its quiet and non polluting.
