What’s an environmental way of getting rid of a lawnmower?

lawnmower

I have a lawnmower that is now broken. Any ideas of ways of getting rid of it without damaging the environment too much?
We’ve been fixing it for years and it spat fire at my brother recently…probably not very safe anymore.

Fix it instead of buying a new one, other than that take it to a recycling centre, they will sort it out

We take stuff like that to our local landfill where they separate that stuff.

Easiest way is to chuck it over the fence & let the neighbours deal with it, very friendly to the enviroment & a load off your mind ! LOL :-)

Place it out in front of your house with a sign.

    “PLEASE DO NOT TAKE”.

It will be gone by tomorrow morning.

If you are in the UK, then take it to your local civic amenity site - they have a responsibility to recycle it, by dismantling it and recycling the various parts.

If it’s mostly metal, then a scrap yard may be the best option.

If it’s spitting fire, then it will likely still cut grass for someone.

Go to find the one for your area, and post it up there, I bet someone will take it off your hand pretty quickly!
