For example, bose phones get like up to 22 db of noise reduction, and a pair of IEMs cange get up to 28 or so. Also, never buy bose or skullcady, skullcandy is just looks, not a care given to the sound, and bose is super overpriced. I have several phones that cost as much as the bose QC15, and all sound better by a significant amount. Bose uses all their money on advertising, while other companies use it for actually developing new products. As for a cheapo pair of IEMs, the RE0 it great for its price, and even cheaper, the meelectronics m6 and m9.
