Clean the bag. The bag has tiny holes to let air out, when the grass is blown into the chute, along with the grass comes air,. Think of the blades like a fan blowing the grass and air.. The air has to escape the bag so it has room for more grass. If the bag is plugged up with dirt it becomes like a balloon and once its full of air, its hard for more grass to get blown into the bag. Hose it out real good inside and out, then let it dry in the sun. chinamigarden

Much of this has been covered so here goes.
1. Make sure the underside of the mower is clean not all glopped up with grass.
2. Make sure the under mower duct work is in place so grass clippings are directed to the rear deck exit into the bag.
3. Make sure the bag is clean and properly attached.
4. Check your cut height, if too low it can cause you problem because not enough air can move through the deck.
5. If your mower is self propelled, is it moving faster than last season...if so, slow it down.
6. Look for the obvious. groingo

Is the entire underdeck possibly so COMPACTED with your grass clippings that it causes a block in the chute, where your bag is connected? - I know this happens when I mow my (3 acre) plot.
Also, because my region is so deprived of "nutrition" and my areage is so large, I let the nitrogen of the grass clippings fortify my yard.
I'm told this ^ is simple RECYCLING at it's best.
:-')

ALSO, is your bag possibly too HIGH so as to allow the collected grass clippings to fall back into the chopping area under your mower? - I suggest trying to LOWER the bag to prevent this from "recycling" your grass..... But it is nutrition for your yard.
GOOD LUCK! Charles v

Sorry if this sounds obvious, but, have you checked the chute to see if it is compacted with grass? lyllyan
