HOWEVER certain dogs see various things as threats, the way your pup is acting it sees the lawnmower as a threat. Th Loud noise is likely irritating the dogs hearing, due to the keen hearing they have. Dogs can hear higher pitched noises, it isnt the engine noise that irritates, Lawnmowers give an highpitched squealing that is usually unheard by humans, the dog is likely responding to what its hearing. By seeing as a threat it tries to defend you and herself. Let her see the Lawnmower while it isnt working, let her sniff, then crank it... when she responds, shut it off.and repeat.. this is called Desensitizing the animal. I actually had to do this with my Horses to clip them with shears, as well as my dogs with the lawnmower, it just takes time and patience with her.
