the grass is too thinly chopped by the lawnmower to be digested properly by the guinea pig, so it can cause problems in its digestive system which lead to further health problems. It is better to let a guinea pig graze on the grass in a run.

The grass has also been mixed with other items such as leaves and flowers and there could be poisonous ones mixed in, also there is a chance of petrol getting in it and the fumes aren't too good for their lungs either,

i hope this helps

Well I know that you can't give them the grass that you cut from a lawnmower because bad chemicals from the gasoline could kill your guinea pig, but I have put my guinea pigs on lawn mowed grass and they aren't dead so I'm pretty sure that that's fine for them. Hope I helped!!

Its because of the fumes, gas, oil, and contaminants that get on the grass after it has been mowed.

It is never good to give an animal--guinea pig, horse, goat, anything--grass that has been cut by a lawnmower that runs on gasoline, because of the possibility that some of the gasoline will contaminate the grass, in which case you would be poisoning your pet.

Well to be honest, have you ever mowed a lawn? that crap smells terrible, also what if gas leaks out? If your pig eats gasoline grass and gets near a spark, boom!

Because all the ickyness from the mowers gass fumes ect ect. just dont feed them the grass the the mower has actualy cut off the tops. they can eat the grass that is still rooted in the ground, you might want to wait for it to rain and dry or just cut some of it yourself and wash it off with water. i take my guinea pigs outside during summer and let them eat the grass and even rip some of the grass up from the ground myself and make them a little nest that they can eat.

it could have oil from the blades, or gasoline could have splashed onto the grass, so it is safer to just pull up a handful.
